Printed materials come in all shapes and sizes with Wide range of formats. They can include: newsletters, reports and articles and books. So Print and Post materials are fixable. Printed materials are extremely accessible. Students can access for printed materials easily on libraries. Today the decimation of printed materials became very easy and accessible also we can deliver it by sent it through digital copies to be printed. Print materials can be used anywhere at any time, and students can review the materials at their own speed.
How flexible is it for a particular target group?
It is flexible for target group, spicily the adults.  They can choice what they want from printed materials any time. Students can read it anywhere. Also; they don't need special equipment to use it.
Costs:
What is the cost structure of each technology?
Printed material is cost effective comparing with others distance educational technologies because it doesn't need for other requirements and Can be used again and again by the same user or by different users Also it contains of simple and low cost materials and don’t need to pay more money. No instructional tool is less expensive to produce than print. In addition, facilities abound for the inexpensive duplication of these materials. , but Long-term storage may be difficult due to damage caused by damp, heat, dust.
What is the unit cost per student?
The cost per unit is $.07 on printing in most of the colleges and it seems very sheep. The print unit cost of the courses for 100 students or more a years is still very low.
What are the opportunity costs vs. other technology choices?
A large portion of the printed materials distributed by industry, are now provided through electronic fulfillment. Electronic fulfillment has lowered the cost per unit, eliminated printed material obsolescence, and created flexibility to tailor materials, improved turnaround times. The Web has given us on-line World Wide access to information. But we still rely on printed materials sometimes in a different form. Print materials can be available for learner to facilitate the learning by provide an informational brochure or catalog can be on hand for reference, even when online options are not available.

Printed materials are lack of interaction there is one interaction between student and content. Student can deal directly with materials and they can highlight and classifying subject

It is easy to use and learn for professional and beginner. It does not need to learn how to use or for additional equipment.

What are the organizational requirements to provide stability and support?
Because of the nature of printed materials, it is very important to provide stability and support for print materials and to make sure that courses will be successful. Providing clear and understanding contents. Also should provide supports organizations in alternative formats for people with print disability who are unable to read standard print with ease due to vision impairment, a physical disability or a learning disability.
What are the barriers to using this technology successfully within the institution?
·         Text materials are static, and less appropriate for teaching languages and visual concepts
·         It may take days or weeks to distribute printed matter, and it may be difficult to update the materials once the class has started.
·         Students with visual impairments may need the material in another format.
·         Printed materials don’t reach young people with a low level of literacy.
·         Many people find it easier to understand and related to spoken word than to the printed word or even pictures, so do not fit with all learning styles.
·         There is only one way of interaction that printed materials support
What changes need to be made within the organization to incorporate the technology?
·         There are many changes need to be made within the organization to incorporate printed materials such as, make it colorful and with images and attractive design also ,Solve the circumstance related to the barriers will make essential change that come incorporating such technologies

How new is the technology?
Printed materials are not novel absolutely, it is the first technology has been used and it develops later after technology revaluation.  In 1700–1900 they Use of mail to deliver course material.

Diversity of the font, color, format and shape, Ease of preparation, Easy to carry and provide more credible information.
Speed
How quickly can courses be created and distributed with this technology?
Printed materials are easy to created and distributed, but it takes time to be adaptive and provide it in virus formats. Instructor can provide content by: e-book, PDE, using Microsoft office such as Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation and it easy to change and the students print it easily. Instructors need some time to create the content and checks the grammars and spilling

How quickly can materials be changed?
Updating printed material generally takes more time than updating other media. Changing a brochure to include new information can take time for layout, design and printing, while updating a website or email message may be as quick and easy as the click of a mouse. Also, updating a website is generally less expensive than changing, printing and mailing out a new brochure.
